Slices of Night by J.T. Ellison, Erica Spindler, Alex Kava and Deb Carlin

Slices of Night is a perfect title for this multi-victim thriller! It will sink its razor hooks into you during the first few pages and won’t let go until you reach that final page.

Each point of view offered an intense rollercoaster of action and emotion. For me there's nothing so emotional as the loss of an infant - a helpless victim of violent crime. I wanted to cry over the way they found her, but I won't spoil it by telling you. But that wasn’t the end of the adventure. There’s a lot of fast paced action from murder to murder, and even a tentative romance that ends with a kiss under the mistletoe.

A great story and one I highly recommend to my readers!

I was pleasantly surprised by the deep emotional connection that Ashlee was able to give her characters. But the sexy couch scene was my favorite moment. It started out slow, but built up sizzle fast!

Since this was a free download I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, and maybe that affected the way I feel about it. But I loved it! I thought it was well paced and had me wondering ‘who done it’ right up until the end, even though I thought I had it figured out a couple of times along the way.

Suzanne Brockmann's Night Watch (Tall, Dark & Dangerous) Book 11

While it wasn’t as great as some of the other titles in this series, I still really enjoyed the book. If there’s anything Suzanne Brockmann does well, it’s make a good human hero that we can all love.  Brittany is a good match for Wes, since he has all kinds of “stray puppy” issues, while she is a nurturer. Again, not as hot a couple as some of the others Seals, but still a fun story I’d recommend to my readers.

Watch out Stephanie Meyer, vampires might be the hot thing in YA books, but for a blazing adult novel I’d have to pick one of Celeste Hall’s incubi!
